2018 Dublin: One City One Book Festival To Commence

The Long Gaze Back – An Anthology of Irish Women Writers edited by Sinéad Gleeson features as this year’s book in the Dublin: One City One Book Festival, which begins tomorrow. The month-long festival will feature various events throughout the city including dramatised readings, music, song and poetry.  Many of the events are free.

Highlights of the programme include:

  • The main event takes place in the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham, on Wednesday 25th April with a special evening of readings, discussion and music.
  • Writing workshops will be held in the Irish Writers Centre on Saturday 14th
  • An evening of dramatised readings and discussion takes place in Dublin City Library & Archive, Pearse St. on Thursday 19th
  • The Song Gaze Back an evening of music and song, takes place in The Cobalt Café, North Great George’s St. on Friday 27th

The Festival is organised by Dublin City Council’s Public Library Service. Dublin: One City One Book is supported by New Island Books, the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and RTÉ Supporting The Arts.
