Where and how to contact us

If you are a tenant of Dublin City Council, a tenant purchaser or a housing applicant, we can assist you with housing, family and other difficulties. See a list of the issues we can help you with.

If you need help, contact one of our Housing Welfare Officers. A Housing Welfare Officer is a social worker employed by Dublin City Council.

If you want to refer somebody to the Housing Welfare Section's social work service, please put the details in writing on a referral form

How to contact us

Walk-in service

A free, walk-in service is held every day in the Civic Offices. Simply come in and talk to Housing Welfare Officer. No appointment is required.

  • Time: 9.15am - 12.00 noon, Monday – Friday.
  • Location: Housing Welfare Section, Civic Offices. (See the full address below.)

A weekly welfare clinic is normally held in each of Dublin City Council’s areas of administration. A full list is shown below.
