Apply for a Home

Dublin City Council has several schemes that enable you to get a permanent home, if you are unable to afford one on your own. For example, we could give you a Council home (on which you then pay rent) or we can help you to buy your own home at a reduced cost.

Note: If you are living long-term in a flat, apartment or house that you rent from a private (non-council) landlord, we can help you to pay your rent if you need it. We can also help you to find a rented home that suits your needs. Find out more about our support for private rented accommodation.

To apply for a home, choose the scheme that best suits your needs. We will then discuss your application with you.
