Window Replacement Loans

Adaptions and Alterations
Under our scheme for Persons with Disabilities, Dublin City Council tenants can apply for changes to their City Council home, to meet their, or a member of their families medical or mobility needs.
Example of these works include:
- Grab rails
- Access ramps
- Stair lifts
- Shower and bathroom alterations
- Ground floor extensions
To apply for works to be carried out to your home under this scheme:
- You must complete the application form
- You must also bring the form to your doctor and he/she must complete, sign and stamp the form
- The form must be returned to us below; along with any other medical information you wish to submit
- An inspector from the Housing Maintenance Section will call to you and discuss your application
- Your application is then assessed on medical grounds and if the work is approved, your case is given a medical priority
- You will be notified of the outcome of your application by letter
- The approved works will be carried out in order of the medical need.
Note: the Housing Maintenance Section arranges to have all works carried out under this scheme and pay the builder

Overcrowding Extensions
If you are a council tenant you can apply for a bedroom extension to your home if you are living in overcrowded conditions. Your applications will be assessed on the number of persons living in the house and the number of bedrooms available to them.
To qualify you must:
- Need additional bedroom accommodation
- Have a clear rent account
- Comply with the conditions of your tenancy agreement

Central Heating Installations, Repairs and Servicing
Get Central Heating installed in your Council home that you rent from the Council.

Your gas central heating system is serviced every year. We will charge €3 per week on your rent account to cover this annual servicing and necessary repairs to your system. You will be contacted directly by our gas servicing company.
