The Rents & Tenant Purchase Section performs a number of important functions in relation to housing allocated to tenants by Dublin City Council under the various Housing Acts. These are primarily the assessment and collection of rents and the sale of houses under the Tenant Purchase Scheme.

It is located in the Civic Offices at Wood Quay.

The greater part of the assessment and collection of rent is managed by the Rents Section in the Civic Offices.  In Ballymun and Finglas however both are dealt with by the local area office. In Ballyfermot assessment is dealt with by the local area office but collection is still dealt with by the Rents Section in the Civic Offices.

The Tenant Purchase scheme for all areas is managed by the Tenant Purchase Section in the Civic Offices.
