The role of the Economic Development Unit of Dublin City Council was expanded to support the integration of the twin functions of Economic Development and Planning in an effort to facilitate positive economic activity in the City.  Dedicating a multi-disciplinary team of people exclusively to focus on Dublin’s economic growth is about developing the expertise, knowledge and capacity within Dublin City Council to progress and lead this economic agenda.  The Economic Development Unit is progressing this agenda through a number of initiatives as set out below.
