Variation to the Dublin City Development Plan 2005 - 2011 (Variation 18 & 19)

NOTICE OF PROPOSED DRAFT VARIATIONS OF  

THE DUBLIN CITY DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2005-2011

(VARIATION NO’s 18 & 19)

 

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 13 of the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2006 that Dublin City Council, being the Planning Authority for Dublin City, has prepared the proposed two (2) Draft Variations of the Dublin City Development Plan 2005-2011 in respect of the following:


 Variation No. 18

    

(a)        It is proposed to vary the Dublin City Development Plan 2005 – 2011 by changing the zoning of lands at Faussagh Avenue/Dunmanus Road, Cabra, Dublin 7:

 From:   Zoning Objective Z9 – To preserve, provide and improve recreational amenity and open space

 To:        Zoning Objective Z1 – To protect, provide and improve residential amenities


The purpose of the proposed variation would be to change the zoning of this open space land from Z9 (amenity and open space) to Z1 to facilitate the consideration of this site for sheltered housing.


Variation No. 19

    

(b)       It is proposed to vary Section 15.10.5 ‘Parking in the Curtilage of Protected Structures and in Conservation Areas’and changes to Appendix 18 under heading ‘Residential Parking in the Curtilage of Protected Structures and in Conservation Areas’ of the Dublin City Development Plan 2005 – 2011.  

     

The purpose of the proposed variation is to clarify, particularly in relation to larger gardens, what is the acceptable level of car parking which can be accommodated on sites which have protected structures and also to provide guidance on layout and materials to be used for such parking.

 

A copy of the proposed Draft Variations will be available for inspection at the Civic Offices, Wood Quay, Dublin 8 from Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) between the hours of 09.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. from Tuesday, 17th April, 2007 to Monday, 14th May, 2007 (both dates inclusive).

For convenience a non-statutory public display of Variation No. 18 will also be held at Cabra Library, Navan Road, Dublin 7 during the library’s normal opening hours.

 

Written submissions or observations in relation to the proposed Draft Variations made to the Planning Authority within the above said period will be taken into consideration before the making of a decision on the Draft Variations. Such submissions or observations should be addressed to:
