NOTICE OF THE DISPLAY OF GRANGEGORMAN STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT ZONE DRAFT PLANNING SCHEME, ENVIRONMENTAL REPORT AND APPROPRIATE ASSESSMENT SCREENING REPORT
On 21 December 2010, the Government ordered the designation of 28.69 hectares of land at Grangegorman as a site for a Strategic Development Zone (SDZ) for a mix of development, including educational, healthcare, commercial, recreational and other uses.
The specified development agency (the Grangegorman Development Agency) has now submitted a Draft Planning Scheme for the Grangegorman SDZ site to Dublin City Council.
This Draft Planning Scheme is based on the Grangegorman Development Agency’s Strategic Plan. It consists of a written statement and plan indicating the type and extent of development to be permitted on the Grangegorman SDZ site, together with proposals relating to the overall design of development, transportation, the provision of services, the minimisation of any adverse impacts on the environment and the provision of amenities, facilities and services for the community.
It is accompanied by an Environmental Report and an Appropriate Assessment Screening Report.
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 169 of the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2010, Article 179 of the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004 and Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC that the display of the Grangegorman Strategic Development Zone Draft Planning Scheme, its Environmental Report and Appropriate Assessment Screening Report are available for inspection at the following locations and times during the period from Friday, 29th April, 2011 to Wednesday, 15th June, 2011 inclusive.

All submissions and observations received during the above time period will be taken into consideration in deciding upon the scheme.
