Liverpool legend Phil Neal launches a two-day Grow Sport Pro Coach Tour in the Atrium of the Civic Offices, Wood Quay at 4pm on Wednesday 22nd April. The Grow Sport Coach Tour is part of Dublin City Council’s Social Inclusion Awareness Week. It gives young people in Crumlin and Ballymun and their coaches the opportunity to work with qualified academy coaches. Two Middlesborough Academy coaches, former Irish International Curtis Fleming and Garry Bennett, will accompany Phil.
According to Phil Neal, “It is very important for coaches to learn how kids are coached at academy level in order to improve their own level of training. I am looking forward to coming to Dublin and meeting with the local coaches.”
It will also promote healthy living as an integral part of the coaching process especially with regard to the preparation for soccer games. Grow Sport are delighted to be participating in Dublin City Council’s Social Inclusion Awareness Week.
Coaching venues and dates
The coaching sessions take place at Clogher Road Sports Centre, Crumlin, 4-8pm, 22nd April and Ballymun Trinity Comprehensive School, Main Street, Ballymun, 4-8pm, Thursday 23rd April.
