Lord Mayor of Dublin, Cllr. Emer Costello offers her condolences on the death of former Lord Mayor, Joe Doyle
“It is with sadness that I have learned of the death, after a long illness, of former Lord Mayor of Dublin, Joe Doyle. Joe was a fine public representative who worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life for his constituents on Dublin City Council for twenty-five years, and also in Dáil and Seanad Eireann.
It was under his stewardship as Lord Mayor that the decision was made to introduce the Spire on O’Connell Street as a symbol of modern Dublin.
I offer my sincere condolences to Mr Doyle's family.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dhílis.”
Ends.
