Today, Monday 10th August sees the launch of the dublinbikes scheme website, www.dublinbikes.ie
The website gives full information on every aspect of Dublin’s new self-service bicycle hire scheme which launches on Sunday,13th September.

European cities such as Paris, Brussels, Vienna and Seville already operate similar, successful schemes.

Dublinbikes will offer 450 bikes at 40 centrally located stations in the city. The first 30 minutes of any journey is free. Full details of charges are on www.dublinbikes.ie . In Paris, the average journey time is 18 minutes and each bicycle is used on average nine times per day.
