New Action Plan looks to provide solutions to Dublin’s current problems

Dublin City Development Board launches its Action Plan 2009-2012 at City Hall at 5pm on Monday, 11th May. The board’s Chairperson Councillor Sean Kenny launches the Action Plan which addresses the most pressing economic and social problems facing Dublin and its citizens.

The Action Plan prioritises social inclusion, economic development and environmental sustainability. According to Cllr Kenny “Dublin City is and its people are facing a real crisis. The City Development Board is the only citywide partnership that can develop a response to the issues facing the whole City by agencies working together. Put simply, service providers must do more with less, to ensure ordinary Dubliners are protected from the worst effects of this downturn.”

Martin Kavanagh, Director of Community & Enterprise Dublin City said, “This Action Plan provides for practical solutions to some of the problems facing Dubliners.” He added “Our job is to work with other members of the Development Board to improve the services provided to the people of Dublin”.
