NOTES TO THE EDITOR

Since its installation, Dublin City Council, the FAI and the Residents have made great use of this pitch through their many programmes. These multi-sport programmes will be run in partnership with local Community Development Groups.

The facility is a community resource, managed by a Committee of Residents from the community and used extensively by children in the wider Kilbarrack area.   This local resource gives the children of Kilbarrack an opportunity to participate in sport activities, which they may otherwise not have had the opportunity to experience.

This innovative partnership between Dublin City Council, the FAI and the Department of Sports, Art and Tourism, will ensure that Kilbarrack will benefit greatly from this superb sporting facilities.
