The Central Area City Neighbourhood Awards 2009
The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Councillor Emer Costello will present the Central Area City Neighbourhood Awards on Wednesday 9th September 2009 at 7pm in the Ballybough Community Centre, Ballybough, Dublin 3.
The Central Area City Neighbourhood Competition is one of five competitions within the Dublin City Council Administrative Area. The competition for each area is divided into three separate categories; Residential, Business and Schools. One winner will be chosen from each of these categories and will go on to represent their Area in the main event, The Dublin City Neighbourhood Awards, which will be held on 24th September 2009 at 5pm in the Croke Park Conference Room.
Dublin City Council actively encourages each of the five Areas to get involved each year and the Awards celebrate the involvement of communities and local businesses in improving their areas and it is also an opportunity for Dublin City Council to acknowledge and commend the hard yet rewarding and worth while work of all parties involved.
“I would like to extend my congratulations to residents, businesses and schools within the Central Area who have dedicated so much time and effort into working together to improve and enhance their local area and the results of their work is obvious for all to see. It is their collective commitment to these Awards that really ensures that our City is a great place to live and work in”
said the Lord Mayor.
