On Saturday 18th July at 6 pm the Lord Mayor Councillor Emer Costello will launch an Art Exhibition showing local artist’s work in the Oisín Gallery, 44 Westland Row. The art exhibition is organised by Dublin City Council in collaboration with Gardai from Pearse Street and the St. Andrew’s Resource Centre and is part of the 22nd South Dock Festival.
Speaking at the opening the Lord Mayor said “It is my pleasure to be here this evening to launch this exhibition of art which has been produced by people from this locality. Art gives people a wonderful opportunity to express themselves and engage with their local area. The diversity of the works on display here today reflect the excellent opportunities that exist within this area for those who wish to develop their artistic skills.”
The exhibition includes works from different sectors of the local community and will be on display for one day only in the Oisín Gallery, moving to St Andrew’s Resource Centre for the rest of the week to coincide with the South Dock Festival.
