Dublin Fire Brigade Recruits Passing-Out Parade

Forty-six Dublin Fire Brigade recruits have successfully completed their training and will participate in the Recruit Passing-Out Parade on Wednesday 3rd of December 2008 at 1.00pm, in the Dublin Fire Brigade Training Centre, Malahide Road, Marino, Dublin 3. The Lord Mayor, Eibhlin Byrne and Dublin City Manager, John Tierney will be attending the ceremony.

"It is an honour to welcome these new recruits to our fire services.  They are a significant addition to the highly skilled fire fighters who contribute so much to emergency services in our city.  I know that they have the good wishes of all Dublin's citizens today" said the Lord Mayor.

The recruits have undergone a rigorous twenty-four week training programme, graduating with specialist knowledge and practical skills, which equip them to work alongside their professional fire fighter colleagues in Dublin Fire Brigade.

The training programme includes 8 weeks Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician Training which will enable them to use these skills in accident and emergency situations.
