A book of condolence in honour of the late Palestinian Poet and Author, Mr. Mahmoud Darwish who died on 9th August 2008, will be opened at the Mansion House, Dawson Street, Dublin 2.

Mahmoud Darwish was a respected literary figure who won numerous awards for both his prose and poetry.  He is regarded as Palestine’s National Poet and was much respected and renowned internationally.

The book of condolence will be available for signing on Friday 15th August 2008 from 11.00am to 2.00pm for any member of the public who wishes to offer their sympathies.
