St. Patrick’s Festival - 12th – 17th March 2010

This year, the St.Patrick's Day Festival is celebrating its 15th anniversary. The festival promises six days of free entertainment including street theatre, music, comedy, dance and visual art.Image for St. Patricks Day Festival 2010

Festival highlights include:

  • St. Patrick’s Festival Ceilí – 16th March
    This outdoor event takes place in St. Stephen’s Green from 4pm – 7pm. The event is free of charge and everyone is welcome
  • St. Patrick’s Festival Parade – 17th March
    The theme of this year’s parade is ‘extraordinary world’ and it will feature street theatre troupes, artist, giant puppetry, dancers and marching bands from Ireland and across the globe. It starts out at 12 noon from Parnell Square and makes its way along O’Connell Street and Dame Street, finishing near St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Patrick Street
  • City at play funfairs – 12th – 17th March
    There will be two funfairs in the city this year – one at Wolf Tone Park and one at Merrion Square
