Irish Statistics
The Central Statistics Office (CSO) is the main source for economic and social statistics in the Republic of Ireland. CSO releases are published on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis and are available free on the CSO website.
In the Business Information Centre statistics (in hard/print copy) from the CSO are arranged into different subject areas as follows for your ease of use:

The Statistical Yearbook of Ireland is published annually by the CSO. It contains tables, graphs and statistical information for Ireland on a variety of areas including Agriculture, Building and Construction, Crime, Economy, Education, Environment, Labour Market and Population. Data relating to Northern Ireland is contained in the appendix.

The StatCentral.ie website contains official Irish statistics from the Central Statistics Office, government departments and other Irish agencies and state bodies. Statistics are organised into five main themes (with sub themes) as follows: Business Sectors; Economy, Environment, Climate and Energy; Labour Market and Earnings; People and Society. The StatCentral portal is maintained by the Central Statistics Office.
Irish Census
Census figures for 1986, 1991, 1996, 2002 and 2006 are all available in hard/print copy. The most recent census took place on Sunday 10th April 2011.
Small Area Population Statistics (SAPS) for previous censuses are available online by visiting the Central Statistics Office (CSO) website. Simply click on the "Census" tab and select the “Small Area Population Statistics (SAPS)” option within the census results you are interested in. The 1901 and 1911 census results for Ireland are available on the National Archives of Ireland website.
UK Statistics
Access to the latest statistics from government departments in the UK is available on the UK National Statistics website.
