Borrower Information and Online Renewals
The Borrower Information option allows you to check your own borrower information with your assigned PIN number. You can:-
- check the information stored about yourself
- find out what titles you have on loan
- check your loan history
- find out if you have incurred any charges
- reserve items and identify any outstanding reservations
- renew items on loan if they not required by another library member
- leave a comment for your library and receive replies
- make a purchase suggestion
A PIN number is available at your local library on production of a valid library membership card.
Online Catalogue
The Online Catalogue lists all items in the Dublin City Public Libraries system. The catalogue enables you to:
- Check in which libraries an item is held
- Check if the item is currently available to borrow, may be reserved or is for reference use only
- Reserve an item
- Write a review of any item on the catalogue.
The catalogue can be searched by author, title or keyword.

If you can't find something in our catalogue why not try Borrowbooks.ie. Here you can search the online catalogues and websites of Irish public libraries, and request books, CDs, DVDs etc. via Inter-Library Loan.
Database Access
dublinheritage.ie
Launched in August 2006, dublinheritage.ie is a resource from Dublin City Public Libraries focusing primarily on databases derived from printed and other historic records related to Dublin city and surrounding administrative areas.
Included are:
Baptisms', Marriages' and Burials' Databases for Dublin Parishes for indicated years; partial records can be accessed on dublinheritage.ie, complete records can be viewed in the Dublin City Library and Archive.
The Dublin City Electoral Lists database for the year 1939-40 can be accessed on dublinheritage.ie; the Dublin City Electoral Lists for the years 1937 to 1964 can be viewed in the Dublin City Library and Archive.

LexisNexis Public Library Information Services Database
This is a global searchable archive of business, health and environment content from magazines, journals, web based publications, blogs, newspapers, legal documents, and other printed sources. Searches can be done for "News & Information", "Global Company Research" and "UK Law Journals".
Irish Newspapers Archives
With the Irish Newspapers Archives you can search, retrieve and view newspapers from 1700s to the present. Newspapers featured include: Irish Independent, Sunday Independent, Galway City Tribune, The Connaught Telegraph, Donegal News, The Meath Chronicle, The Southern Star, Westmeath Examiner, The Guardian, Irish Farmers Journal, The Anglo-Celt, Sentinel, Connacht Tribune, Leitrim Observer, Munster Express, The Herald, The Freeman's Journal and The Nation.

The Ireland Collection - JSTOR
The Ireland Collection, developed in cooperation with Queen's University Belfast, is an interdisciplinary collection of journals and other materials. The Collection contains titles and resources across the arts, humanities, and sciences in disciplines such as music, art, history, literature, archaeology, mathematics, and biology. Materials span from the 1780s to the present. Your access to The Ireland Collection is provided by Dublin City Public Libraries and access is available from any of the city branch libraries.

Dublin City Public Libraries working with the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism, and others, to help you in your search for records of family history for past generations. There are 1,334,000 Church records of Baptism, Marriage and Death available to view free of charge on this website. Of these, 734,000 Church records are from Dublin City and 600,000 records are from Kerry.
