You need to buy a permit to put a skip on a public road where parking restrictions apply. This includes:
- Double yellow lines
- Paid parking zones, e.g. pay-and-display
- Clearways
You do not need a permit if you want to put a skip on a road with no parking restrictions.
Get a skip permit
Step 1: Complete the Skip Permit application form
Note: You must submit this form every time you want a skip permit (there are no automatic renewals).
Step 2: Return the completed form to us
Return the completed form by post, fax or in person to the address below.
It may take up to 72 hours to process your application, depending on where your skip is to be located.
Enclose the appropriate fee in cheque or money order, made payable to ‘Dublin City Council’. You can also pay using credit card or debit card.
Do not send cash in the post. If you wish to pay in cash, please visit our public office at the address below.
