Dublin City Council Arts Office Seeks Interns
Dublin City Council Arts Office is currently seeking interns for 2010. The internships are designed to extend interns knowledge and understanding of how a Local Authority Arts Office works.Internships will also have an opportunity to gain experience in the LAB Gallery and the Red Stables Artists Studios, which are Dublin City Council Arts buildings. Duties may include:
- updating databases
- archiving
- PR & marketing
- general administrative support for the arts office programmes

Artists Panel 2010
Dublin City Council Arts Office is currently seeking enthusiastic, motivated and skilled artists to join their Artists Panel 2010.
Dublin City Council will consider applications from all arts disciplines - architecture, circus, dance, literature, film, music, opera, theatre, visual arts, traditional arts, animation - to work in a range of different settings in all areas of the city.
Our key objectives in developing an Artists Panel are:
- Supporting the established and emerging artist
- Achieving quality provision of arts and cultural services in the city
- Ensuring equality of public access to and participation in the arts, particularly throughout
Dublin city neighbourhoods
- Encouraging awareness, education and research in the arts
- Supporting sustainable and strategic development of arts initiatives in the city
Artists are asked to submit the following:
- Application Form
- Documentation of work (up to 3 projects)
- Any special requirements, for example in terms of Access

In accordance with its Arts Service Plan 2006-2009, Dublin City Council invites applications for funding towards arts projects and programmes in the city which are complementary to the following objectives:
- Achieving quality provision of the arts and cultural services
- Supporting the established and emerging artist
- Ensuring equality of public access to and participation in the arts, particularly through the city neighbourhoods
- Encouraging awareness, education and research in the arts
- Supporting the sustainable and strategic development of arts initiatives

Arts Bursaries 2009 |

Dublin City Council invites applications from artists who wish to be considered for a Bursary of €4,000 towards studies at an advanced level or the development of work/ professional skills. Artists, resident in Dublin City Council’s administrative area, can apply for a Bursary in Visual Arts, Music, Dance, Drama and Literature. One Bursary will be awarded in each discipline.

The Irish Artists’ Residential Studio Award at The Red Stables |
|
Dublin City Council invites Artists to apply for the Irish Artists’ Residential Studio Award, The Red Stables, St Anne’s Park, Dublin 3. The award is intended to support an emerging Irish visual artist at an early stage of their professional practice and runs from November 2009-November 2010.
The Award includes:
- Studio and living accommodation at nominal rent of €200 per month for a one-year period. (incudes light & heating costs)
- Inclusion in Exhibition Programme at The LAB, Foley Street, Dublin 1.
- Administrative and curatorial support through Dublin City Council’s Arts Office.
- Internet Access.
There is no application form. Artists are asked to submit the following.
- A cover letter detailing the proposed usage of the studio and a work plan outlining ideas for the residency.
- Reasons why occupancy the Irish Artists’ RESIDENTIAL studio in Red Stables is important to your work development.
- A current Curriculum Vitae.
- Documentation of work.
- Any special requirements, for example in terms of Access.

Incubation Space Award at The Lab
Dublin City Council wishes to invite applications for the award of free incubation/workspace at The LAB. The award is intended to enable innovative arts companies/collectives to research and develop new work, over a period of up to six months, through the provision of work/rehearsal space. The space will be allocated to successful applicants on a rotation basis, from May 09 - May 2010.
Previous Awardees have included visual artists groups, multi-media collectives, theatre companies and dance/choreographic collectives.
Applicants should submit work/research proposal; ideal timeframe; anticipated achievements/benefit of use of incubation space; and details of applicants’ background to date.
Applications should be submitted to;
