Call for Day Studio Applications 2011/2012 |

Dublin City Council invites applications from professional visual artists interested in a medium term letting of a day studio at The Red Stables, St. Anne’s Park, Dublin 3.
The Carriage House Studio is situated on the ground level of The Red Stables, in an attractive courtyard set in 270 acres of parkland. The studio is available to rent for €70 + VAT per week inclusive of broadband, electricity, heating, rates, water and refuge charges. A maximum license of three years will apply, renewable on a yearly basis. The studio dimensions are 14.5 x 18 feet.
Artists are asked to submit the following:
A covering letter outlining a description of art practice, proposed studio for use, and reasons why occupancy of a studio in The Red Stables is important to career development.
- A current CV.
- Documentation of work.
- Any special requirements, for example in terms of Access.
Applicants should have a degree or diploma from a recognised third level art college and have participated in an exhibition/visual art event.

Annual Arts Grants

In accordance with its Arts Service Plan, Dublin City Council invites applications for funding towards arts projects and programmes in the city which are complementary to the following objectives:
- Achieving quality provision of the arts and cultural services
- Supporting the established and emerging artist
- Ensuring equality of public access to and participation in the arts, particularly through the city neighbourhoods
- Encouraging awareness, education and research in the arts
- Supporting the sustainable and strategic development of arts initiatives

The Irish Residential Studio Award 2011-2012
APPLICATION FOR THIS AWARD IS NOW CLOSED AND IS LIKELY TO BE RE-ADVERTISED LATER IN 2012.
Every July, Dublin City Council invites applications for the Irish Artists’ Residential Studio Award. This highly sought after award is intended to support an emerging Irish visual artist at an early stage of their professional practice and runs from November 2011 to November 2012.
The Award includes:
- Studio and living accommodation at nominal rent of €200 per month for a one-year period (incudes light & heating costs)
- Inclusion in Exhibition Programme at The LAB, Foley Street, Dublin 1
- Administrative and curatorial support through Dublin City Council’s Arts Office
- Wireless broadband internet access
To apply for the Irish Residential Studio Award 2011 please send a cover letter detailing the proposed usage of the studio and a work plan outlining ideas for the residency, current Curriculum Vitae, documentation of work and any special requirements, for example, in terms of access.

Artists Panel 2011

Dublin City Council Arts Office is currently seeking enthusiastic, motivated and skilled artists to join their Artists’ Panel 2011. Please click here to download the application form and guidelines
Dublin City Council will consider applications from artists from all arts disciplines – architecture, circus, dance, literature, film, music, opera, theatre, visual arts, traditional arts and animation – to work in a range of different settings in all areas of the city which will include once off and medium term projects with people of all ages in many different contexts including:
- Children’s Art in Libraries Programme
- Dublin City Council’s arts programme as part of the Bealtaine Festival (national Festival celebrating creativity in older age)
- Arts in schools
- Youth/ Community/ neighbourhood festivals and events
- The Red Stables Summer and Christmas Arts Programmes
- The LAB Gallery Arts Programme
- Music workshops as part of the Northside Music Festival
Our key objectives in developing an Artists’ Panel are:
- Achieving quality provision of arts and cultural services in the city
- Ensuring equality of public access to and participation in the arts, particularly throughout
Dublin city neighbourhoods
- Supporting the established and emerging artist through the arts programme
Artists are asked to submit the following:
- Application Form
- Documentation of work (up to 3 projects)
- Any special requirements, for example in terms of Access

- This is not a public art panel
- A place on the panel is not a guarantee of work

- Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend for interview
- Successful applicants will be subject to Garda Clearance
