Invasive Species in Ireland

The report on 'Invasive Species in Ireland' was published by The Department of the Environment in the South of Ireland and the Environment and Heritage Service in Northern Ireland.  This report documents the effects of invasive non-native species.  A number of example species are listed in addition to:

  • their means of spread
  • method of eradication 
  • recommendations for management

The impacts on the native species are categorised according to the negative, positive or no significant impact they have.
