Located in Whitehall just off the M1 motorway and to the South of Shantalla Road, the park extends to 10 hectares and was developed in the late 1950's and early 1960's to satisfy the local demand for playing fields.

Tennis courts, hedges and maturing tree plantations give the park an increasing sense of maturity while still being the main sports ground in the Whitehall Area. Most recently constructed is the children's playground and proposals are currently in place to upgrade the existing tennis courts to provide improved synthetic surface training areas for ballgames and tennis.
