Markievicz Leisure Centre caters for adults and children either learning to swim or improving their ability. All our swimming teachers are qualified in Irish Water Safety swim teacher courses.
Learn to Swim – Children’s Swimming Programme

Our ‘learn to swim’ programme caters for children all year round. There are 6 grades starting with tadpoles for beginners and ending on Sharks where children will be lane swimming all four strokes.
Children are assessed and certified before moving up a grade.
Lessons are 40 minutes with play time included.
Learn to Swim Rates are €25 per month for member's children and €30 per month for non-member's children.
Adults can work out while children have lessons on our reduced Pay and Play rate of €4.50!

Group Lessons at the above times are now Free of Charge to Members of Markievicz Leisure Centre.
Group lessons not for you – no problem. We also provide one to one swimming lessons for adults at €15.00 per half hour tuition.
