Capital Building Programme

2010 saw progress in the delivery of the Library and Archive Service Access Plan with improvements to Marino, Drumcondra and Pembroke (Ballsbridge) libraries. Updates were posted on the Library News page.

During 2010 improvement works commenced at Rathmines and Ballyfermot libraries .These are due for completion in 2011.

Stage 1 Plans for refurbishment works at Kevin Street library have been prepared and will be further developed  during 2011.

The progression of an objective to deliver a 21st century Central library building  continues in association with Dublin City Council's City Architects Department and other stakeholders.

A Library and Archive Development Plan is in preparation which will guide Strategic Developments from 2011 - 2015.
