A Thousand Years of Music and Opera

A series of four light-hearted lunchtime talks on a thousand years of the development of music and opera by Michael Grant

  • Thursday 4th February: Music from Hildegard of Bingen to Beethoven;
  • Thursday 11th February: Music from Schubert to Shostakovich; 
  • Thursday 18th February: Opera from Monteverdi to Meyerbeer; 
  • Thursday 25th February: Opera from Bizet to Bernstein;

All will take place at 1pm
Each talk will be illustrated by examples of the music of the period.
