Community Services

Dublin City Libraries hosts a number of government and non-government organisations offering support and advice to members of the public. Those organisations include FLAC (Free Legal Advice Centres), FISC (Financial Information Service Centres), and the CIC (Citizens Information Centres).

Citizens Information Centres (CICs)

Citizens Information Centres (CICs) provide free, impartial and confidential information. They provide integrated information across the full range of state services and entitlements as well as local services and supports.

Financial Information Services Centre (FISC)

Provides free and confidential financial advice to people or organisations unable to afford the professional services of accountants.

Money Advice and Budgeting Service

The primary aim of MABS is to help people cope with debt and to take control of their own finances. The service is free, confidential and independent. The service is funded by the Department of Social & Family Affairs.

Free Legal Advice Centre (FLAC)

FLAC is a non-governmental organisation which campaigns for full and equal access to justice for all and which promotes and operates a range of services to meet the legal needs of those living in poverty.
