Reading Groups in Dublin City Libraries
Reading groups are a popular way for book lovers to discuss books, both fiction and non-fiction, in an informal friendly setting. Some groups meet in libraries or each other's homes, some in pubs or restaurants. We also host Irish language reading groups.
The following is a list of libraries that host groups:-
- Ballyfermot 01 6269324 meets every second Monday of month 2.30pm
- Ballymun 01 8421890 the Afternoon Reading Group meets on first Tuesday of the month from 3pm to 5pm. The Evening Reading Group meets on the last Monday of the month from 6.30pm - 8pm
- Cabra 01 8691414 "Bookends" Reading Group, first Tuesday of each month, 7pm. 'Points of View' book club meets the second Wednesday of each month at 12pm. Wednesday evening readers group (for adults) meet at 6.30pm

Shakespeare Reading Group - reads scenes from Shakespeare aloud followed by a viewing of relevant video clips and some guided discussion. Involves no acting and if you prefer to just listen and watch that is fine too. This group meets on the second Monday of every month from 6:15pm to 7:45pm.

Dates and times may vary, so check with the library in advance if interested in participating in one of the reading groups.
