Library Development Plan 2012-2016

Refurbishment of Kevin Street Library

Dublin City Public Libraries is very pleased to announce the commencement of works to refurbish Kevin Street Library. To accommodate these works, the library will be closed from 5.00pm, Friday, 31st May, until June 2015. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes to the users of Kevin Street Library.

Mobile Library Service Disruption - Chapelizod

Mobile Library Due to traffic restrictions the Mobile Library is unable to provide a service to Chapelizod Court.  We are currently looking at alternative parking locations in the area and will update you as soon as we have further information. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Kevin Barry wins the 2013 Award for City of Bohane

City of Bohane City of Bohane by Kevin Barry is the winner of the 2013 International IMPAC DUBLIN Literary Award. The winning novel beat off competition from 153 other titles, nominated by 160 libraries from 44 countries.

Lord Mayor’s Certificate in Local Studies, 2013-2014

The Lord Mayor’s Certificate in Local Studies is offered by Dublin City Council as part of its commitment to life-long learning.  The course examines the local dimension of Ireland’s past and is presented in a lively and accessible manner.

Lord Mayor’s Certificate in Oral History, 2013-2014

The Lord Mayor’s Certificate in Oral History will equip participants with skills in the preparation and conduct of oral history projects, including best practice in the collection and archiving of oral history interviews.The course commences in September 2013.
