A full set of the journal SHOWCASE is now available for consultation at Dublin City Library & Archive.

SHOWCASE was the quarterly journal of the Irish entertainment scene, edited by John Balding. It was first published in September 1967 and continued until September 1971.  It covered theatre, film, television and radio, pop music, comedy – and of course showbands. The SHOWCASE annual awards were a notable event in Irish arts at the time. The journal is lavishly illustrated with quality photographs and contains feature articles, news items and opinion pieces from noted practitioners of the day. John Balding has generously donated a full set of SHOWCASE in a special binding.
