Regional Waste Plan – Annual Progress Report 2010
The Dublin Local Authorities (Dublin City Council, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, Fingal County Council and South Dublin County Council) are responsible for producing on an annual basis an update of waste management data and statistics for the Region.
The Annual Progress Report is published yearly and provides the most up to date information on waste generation, collection and management in Dublin.
This is the fourth Annual Progress Report since the publication of the Dublin Regional Waste Plan in November 2005 and provides the most accurate assessment of waste management for the Region.
Waste Management Plan for the Dublin Region 2005 - 2010
The Dublin Waste Management Plan 2005-2010 aims towards achieving 59% recycling,
25% incineration and 16% landfill.
Since the launch of the Dublin Waste Management Plan in 2005 a number of developments within the Region have taken place. These are documented in the various reports prepared by the four local authorities which can be viewed below:
In June 2008 the Waste Management (Collection Permit) Regulations 2007 (as amended) came into operation. In order to give effect to the new Regulations, a review of existing waste collection permits in the Dublin Region is being initiated undertaken.
