The Waste Regulations Office is responsible for managing the following regulations arising from the Waste Management Acts, 1996 to 2008, including:

• Waste Facility Permits
• Packaging
• End of Life Vehicles (ELV’s)
• Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
• Waste Management (Tyres & Waste Tyres) Regulations 2007

Applications for waste facility permits, WEEE and End of Life Vehicle registrations are processed in this office.
The Waste Regulations Office works closely with the Waste Enforcement Unit by sharing information and managing the regulation of waste activities so that they may be carried out without causing environmental pollution.
