Support for Parents and Families
If you are a vulnerable family in Ballymun, our Social Support Unit works with other agencies to deliver in a pratical way a support service to you.
- Family Support programme encourages families who are experiencing long or short term difficulties by linking them up with services, facilities and information in the area.
- Tenant Support Programme offers pratical support to tenants experiencing difficulties in the home by co-ordinating the services of Dublin City Council and various social services.
- Second Chance Programme offers people who have been previously evicted or excluded from housing due to a history of drug abuse and anti-social behaviour, the opportunity to be housed wtih a relevant support package in place.
We can support you in the following way:
- Support and liaise on behalf of individuals and families
- Assist people in creating links with local networks and community supports
- Encourage and support parents with their child's development and education
- Provide personal development and emotional support
- Provide parenting support and information
- Mediate on behalf of tenants with Dublin City Council and with other state agencies.
