The Lord Mayor welcomed guests. The Chair opened the workshop with introduction to the panel members and set the context for the discussion. Rethinking the economic model that existed prior to the financial crisis is the challenge posed to society now. This workshop aimed to broaden the discussion to look at what role Dublin’s creative and cultural life can play in this new emerging model. Are there emerging enterprise and employment opportunities and if so, is the capacity there to meet the challenge?
The Chair posed Key Questions to the Panel and audience participation was invited at key points throughout the discussion.
The outcome of the workshop informs the work of the Commission.
