Tony Gregory - Life and Work: an Exhibition celebrating the life and work of the late Irish politician. Tony Gregory (5 December 1947 - 2 January 2009 ) was an Irish Independent politician, and a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin Central constituency from 1982-2009. This exhibition looks at many aspects of his life and political career.

Artist in Residence at Cabra Library Creative Hub

Cabra Library, Monday 15 to Saturday 20 July at various times.

Cabra Library presents a series of art and craft workshops with Artist in Residence, Jane Fogarty.  This is a week long residency and please note there are different strands to the series, so one can choose from various options in which to attend the sessions. 

Session 1 : Monday 15 to Friday 19 July 10.30am-11.30am & Saturday 20 July 10.30am-12pm.  *Please note all places in Session 1 are now fully booked*

Session 2 : Monday 15 to Friday 19 July 12-1pm & Saturday 20 July 12.30-2pm.  *Please note for Session 2, there are some places available for Thursday 18th and Friday 19th only; all other days now fully booked*

Session 3: Monday 15 to Friday 19 July from 2.30-4.30pm. Sessions 1 & 2 suitable for children age 6-10 years and Session 3 is open to all the family.

Classical Guitar Lunchtime Performance

Pearse Street Library, Wednesday 17 July at 1pm 

Join The Boyle Tobin duo for a special classical guitar lunchtime performance.  Acclaimed musicians Ger Boyle and Luke Tobin will perform world dance music pieces arranged for classical guitar.  Enjoy their interpretation of original Spanish, Baroque, South American and Irish music compositions.

Comedian and author Karl MacDermott will read selected stories from his humorous short story collection Juggling with Turnips. With Q & A from the audience.  

Early Years Music Programme

Cabra Library, Tuesday 18 June, 25 June and 2 July at 10am-10.45am & 11.30am-12.15pm

Early Years Music Programme as part of Cabra Library Creative Hub. Very young children ( age 3-5 years ) are invited to experience music with a range of early years musicians across various musical genres. Each musician will deliver two sessions aimed at a separate audience: Creche/Pre School 10.00am-10.45am and Families 11.30am-15.15pm.  

Dublin Camera Club Annual Exhibition 2019

Dublin Camera Club logoThe exhibition presents the work of members of every grade within the Dublin Camera Club. Exhibition images are chosen by expert judges external to the Club and represent the best of members’ work in every genre. More than 250 printed images together with digital entries will be on display to the general public.
