Draft Masterplan Belmayne and Belcamp Lane Consultation

Dublin City Council has prepared a Draft Masterplan for lands at Belmayne and Belcamp Lane at the Malahide Road Junction (R139/R107) in Dublin 13/ Dublin 17 as required by the Clongriffin – Belmayne Local Area Plan 2012 (life of LAP extended in 2017 for a further 5 years) and is inviting submissions from the public.

The Draft Masterplan, which comprises of a detailed urban design framework, is intended as a guide for the implementation of the Local Area Plan as it relates to these lands.

The Masterplan will shape the future development of the lands providing guidance on issues such as building height, street layout, land use, block arrangement, housing density, public amenities and access and movement.

Dublin City Council is undertaking public consultation on the Draft Masterplan from Thursday 16th July to Thursday 27th August 2020 and would like to hear from you.

A copy of the Draft Masterplan, together with the accompanying Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and Appropriate Assessment (AA) Screening Reports and Strategic Flood Risk Assessment, are available for inspection from Thursday 16th July to Thursday 27th August 2020 (both dates inclusive) online at: https://consultation.dublincity.ie/planning/draft-belmayne-and-belcamp-lane and, by appointment only, at the following locations:

Economic and Retail Study 2018 – Belmayne and Clongriffin

The Economic and Retail Study 2018 – Belmayne and Clongriffin has been prepared by AECOM on behalf of Dublin City Council. The Study was commissioned to inform the preparation of a future integrated masterplan for appropriate Key District Centre development at Belmayne and Belcamp Lane, consideration of which is an objective of the Clongriffin – Belmayne Local Area Plan.

This Study was presented at the North Central Area Committee on 16th July 2018. The elected members noted the Study.

Notice of the resolution to extend the life of Clongriffin – Belmayne Local Area Plan 2012

Notice is hereby given that the Elected Members of Dublin City Council resolved to extend the Clongriffin – Belmayne Local Area Plan 2012, for a further period of five years, at the City Council meeting on 6th November 2017.

Having considered Report No. 372/2017, the City Council, in accordance with the provisions of Section 19 and 20 of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 (as amended), resolved to extend the Clongriffin – Belmayne Local Area Plan, until December 2022.

Details of the resolution may be inspected at the offices of Dublin City Council, Civic Offices, Planning Counter, Block 4, Ground Floor, Wood Quay, Dublin 8, during office hours of the planning authority, and below


At it’s meeting held 3rd December, 2012, the Members of Dublin City Council, having considered the Manager’s Report on Submissions from the Public Display of Proposed Materials Alterations to the Draft Local Area Plan for Clongriffin-Belmayne (North Fringe), have agreed the proposed amendments.  The Clongriffin-Belmayne (north Fringe) Local Area Plan is hereby made.
