Dublin City Transport Study - Extension to consultation period announced
Consultation period extended for Study on Major changes proposed in Dublin City Transport – Quays, College Green, Suffolk Street, St. Stephen’s Green.
Dublin City Council is extending the consultation period on the Dublin City Transport Study by a further three weeks to allow additional responses and consultation with the business community and give more opportunity for people to respond. The consultation period was originally to close on 16th July but has now been extended to close on Friday 7th August 2015.
The extension is being introduced due to the large number of responses to date.
The Council has received more than 1,300 online responses within the first three weeks and the indications show a 3 to 1 support for reducing traffic volumes in city centre.
“It is a credit to the citizens, businesses and visitors to the city that they are taking time to complete the survey with more than half of the respondents providing additional comments. The extension will give more people a chance to contribute and enhance the final outcome” said Michael Phillips, Director of Traffic Dublin City Council.
Public Consultation Documents and Questionnaire are available in over 100 city wide locations that include all public libraries and Dublin City Council local offices.
