Dublin Fire Brigade Recruits Passing-Out Parade

Providing a Vital service for the City and County of Dublin

After 13 weeks of rigorous training, 36 recruits will participate in the Recruit Passing-Out Parade on Wednesday, 18th September 2019 at 1pm in the Fire Brigade Training Centre, Marino, Dublin 3.

Lord Mayor of Dublin Paul McAuliffe said “We are proud to have trained this class of recruits. The calibre of the recruits passing out is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Instructors and of the recruits themselves.  Dublin Fire Brigade provides a vital service to the City and County of Dublin and I have no doubt that all Firefighters joining the ranks of Dublin Fire Brigade will continue to uphold that proud service”

The Lord Mayor of Dublin will present a Silver Axe to the best recruit

The recruits will demonstrate some of the skills they have developed over the course of their training including exercises in dealing with hazardous materials and road traffic collisions.  In addition to their basic training, recruits have received specialist instruction in the use of breathing apparatus to enable them to deal with backdraughts and flashovers.

Having undergone meticulous instruction, the new recruits will graduate with the knowledge and specialist skills which will equip them to work alongside their professional fire-fighter and paramedic colleagues in Dublin Fire Brigade.
