Make and create some Christmas sparkle. Add some lights to a Chistmas jumper in this fun workshop. Suitable for children age 8-12 years. Part of Family Time at Your Library programme.  

Christmas Arts and Crafts workshop for Children

Cabra Library, Tuesday 10 December at 3.15pm 

Christmas themed arts and crafts workshop for children. Learn how to design and create your own crafts in this fun 1-hour workshop.  Most suitable for children age 7-9 yeatrs.

Explore the Wonder of Christmas through the magic of Christmas Books. Recreate and explore the enchantment of some wonderful Christmas books and their stories through the use of interactive drama, imaginary play, music, song and dance. Family event and most suitable for children 3-7 years. Facilitated by drama artist Anita Nicholson.  Part of Family Time at Your Library programme. 

Scary Bear Halloween Storytelling

Ballyfermot Library, Thursday 31 October at 3pm

Special Halloween themed storytelling event for children. Come dressed for Halloween and bring along your Teddy all dressed up too. Most suitable for children age 3-7 years.

The national Children’s Book Festival, held every October, helps spread the enjoyment of books and reading among children and families, authors and illustrators, teachers and librarians all over Ireland.

While the majority of events are for school groups, there are also after-school and mid-term events, which are listed below.
