All Bodies

Printer-friendly version

Disabled people have bodies that function differently from the socially “normal” body that is accepted and assumed. ALL BODIES is a podcast whose participants, producer and presenter are disabled artists. The podcast includes artworks from and interviews with the director of No Ropes Theatre Mairéad Folan, poet Philip Kenny and the indie-rock band Banríon’s front person Róisín Ní Haicéad. This podcast aims to engage with and examine disability by reflecting on the artists’ experiences of navigating the structures of the normative world. ALL BODIES is produced and presented by Róisín Power Hackett, the ARC LAB Gallery Curatorial Scholar. Her area of research is the inclusion in and access to the arts for disabled people. The podcast is supported by The LAB Gallery and the Dublin City Arts Office.
