An tArdmhéara Críona Ní Dhaláigh welcomes the return of Ballymun’s

Otherworld Festival to the Civic Plaza, Ballymun, on Halloween, Saturday 31st October, 2015, from 6pm – 9pm.

A parade of Spooky Stallions will gallop through the streets of Ballymun to arrive at the Festival Village at the Civic Plaza for three hours of  fang-tastic family friendly entertainment that promises to spook and surprise you.  After a short walk through the Enchanted Forest you will be met by Circus Gerbola, buskers, dancers, food stalls, performers and artists.  Ceilí House will keep everyone on their toes and our Mini Fun Fair will enthral the young folk.  The Festival Village will be hopping with a variety of activities throughout the evening and culminating in the finale of fireworks by Rocket Pyrotechnics at 8.45pm.  The Village will close at 9pm.

An tArdmhéara Críona Ní Dhaláigh said “Now in its 15th year, the Otherworld Festival in Ballymun is growing in strength and popularity from year to year making it one of Dublin City Council’s biggest family friendly Halloween events.  This wickedly wonderful annual festival captures the imagination of the young and old in safe and secure environment.  I would like to thank the Ballymun Festival Steering Committee for organising the festival and to Dublin City Council for funding it. Bainigí taitneamh as Oíche Shamhna agus fan glan amach ó thinte ealaíne mídhleathach agus ó thinte cnámh”.

Festival organisers are expecting an attendance of approx. 5,000 visitors to the Festival Village to enjoy the Halloween celebrations.
