Jim Kelly, Senior Executive Officer in Dublin City Council said " the parkruns are a wonderful successful way  for people to use public parks in a social, healthy and enjoyable way. Fr Collins Park offers a flat route with changing scenes that should make this parkrun a regular and special attraction”.

The run is open to every standard of runner and to all ages (under 14’s must be accompanied by an adult).  There is a huge social element to ParkRun and its success depends on the dedicated work of the local volunteers. It is a great way for the pro runner or complete beginner to participate with others in a relaxed and healthy environment every Saturday morning.
