GAA fans invited to All Ireland Football Final Big Screening Event at Smithfield

An tArdmhéara Críona Ní Dhálaigh invites GAA fans to attend the big Outdoor Screening of the All Ireland Minor and Senior Football Finals at Smithfield Plaza, this Sunday 20th September from 1.00pm to 6.00pm. This is a family event and a strictly alcohol free area.

Access to the Smithfield Plaza is strictly by the New Church Street entrance to the east of the Square, off Church Street.  Those attending are advised to obey the event signage and stewards instructions. Fans are also advised to arrive early to get a good vantage point and to be prepared for changeable weather.

A map showing access to the event can be viewed by clicking here.

According an tArdmhéara, “An tArdmhéara Críona Ní Dhálaigh says, “I know there are plenty of people who could not get a ticket for the match.  So please come down to Smithfield Plaza and enjoy the atmosphere and hopefully a great final, on the big screen with your fellow Dubs and maybe some Kerry fans.  There will also be plenty of family entertainment to enjoy, from bouncy castles to strolling characters and face painting. Dublin City Council is proud to be bringing this free family-friendly event to Smithfield and I hope we get a good crowd down to cheer on the boys in blue.   Tar isteach agus bain sult as an ocaid soar seo.  Baile Átha Cliath abú!”

Dublin City Council is also advising people to use public transport to come to the city on the day, whether they are going to Croke Park or Smithfield Plaza.  Dublin Bus and Luas will both be operating full services on the day.  There is no special parking arrangement in place for the Smithfield event.
