Getting to the Heart of It - Great Writing Great Places

As part of the Great Writing Great Places series, Dublin UNESCO City of Literature has great pleasure in bringing writers into unusual venues but venues connected with their writing.

Getting to the Heart of It, is the third in the series, and takes place at Whitefriar Street Church, 56 Aungier Street, Dublin 2, on Wednesday, 5th October, at 6pm.

Tales of romance in the resting place of St. Valentine’s heart, is one not to be missed. Reading at the event: Claire Allen, Colette Caddle and Michelle Jackson.

A Tale of Terror in the Crypt - Eithne Massey's medieval tale is brought to life in the scary, spooky crypt in Christchurch Cathedral.Tues 1st Nov 2.30pm. Adm: Free. Suitable for children 10+

Matters of Grave Importance - Bringing to life the works of writers Brendan Behan, Gerard Manley Hopkins and Christy Brown who are buried in Glasnevin Cemetery. Museum at Glasnevin Cemetery. 2nd November 7.30pm Adm: Free though booking essential.

Scales of Justice - crime writers Declan Hughes, Arlene Hunt, Niamh O'Connor and Stuart Neville in the atmospheric surrounds of the Four Courts. 16 November 6pm Adm: Free though booking essential.
