Healthy Ireland at Your Library

Overwhelmed? Underwhelmed? Are you excited by the idea of change or simply wish to shrug it off?

The beginning of a new year can have this pendulum effect on people but at Dublin City Public Libraries, we believe it’s just another day and change can start any day of the week.

With a library card, you can download books on your phone, learn a new language or skill or become a member of a book club. The good news is that it’s all free.

If you are inspired to make a change for the better, whether you wish to get fit and shape up or change your focus, we welcome you to be part of Healthy Ireland at Your Library, a programme of books, eBooks, online magazines, online courses and of course, events. 

Start by breathing in and breathing out at lunchtime yoga in the Central Library in the Ilac Centre on Thursday 17th January at 1 pm and Walkinstown Library on Thursday 24th January at 1 pm.

Want to stay healthy for the long-term? If so, you can find out about the key foods and nutrients you need to stay on track with dietician, Sarah Keogh at the Central Library in the Ilac Centre on Thursday 31st January at 1 pm and at Raheny Library on Tuesday 5 February at 6.30 pm.

Tune into a positivity workshop for all ages and explore practical exercise and tips you can practise at home. These workshops take place in Pembroke Library (Ballsbridge) on Tuesday 15th January at 6.30 pm and in Donaghmede Library on Wednesday 23rd January at 11 am.
