The Alzheimer Café is a warm, welcoming space for people with dementia, their family, friends and social and health care professionals to meet, exchange ideas and learn.

We’re delighted the Alzheimer's Café Glasnevin will reopen 'virtually' from next week, with Bex Townley as speaker. Bex is an exercise specialist of 30 years and Director and Tutor for Later Life Training based in the UK who will speak on the topic of 'Make Movement Your Mission'.

We want to reach as many people as possible to help and support those living with Dementia during these difficult times.  We are reaching out to you,if you have a family member or know someone who is a carer for someone with Dementia, to ask that you would assist us by joining us online and helping to share this news.

The 'Virtual' Alzheimer's Café will be launching next week on Tuesday, 30th June at 7pm.  For further information and details of how to register for the Virtual Café, please visit:

The Café is based on an international model and provides an informal way to meet others living with dementia and to meet health and social care professionals.  This is a collaborative project that has been run for many years with the HSE, TCD, DCU and the Alzheimer's Society of Ireland. The Café usually opens monthly in the early evening, while some open during the day, and provides a mix of education and support.  An expert speaker is invited each month to talk to the Café about a topic of interest, however the Café is also a space to chat and enjoy a social occasion in a supportive environment.
