Important transport information update for Dublin City over Easter Weekend #ireland2016
Dublin City Council is encouraging everyone to come into the City to partake in the Easter commemorations over Easter weekend. We are also urging people to take public transport where possible as there will be significant traffic restrictions and a cordon in place on Easter Sunday. The various public and private and public transport carriers will be providing additional services to bring people into and out of the City on both Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.
(See http://www.ireland.ie/getting-around-dublin-over-easter for details)
For urgent requirements relating to vehicular access throughout the restricted cordon area on Easter Sunday, we are providing a Vehicle Access Information Phone Number – 01 222 2016. This will operate from our Traffic Control Centre in Civic Offices each day from Good Friday to Easter Sunday inclusive, with lines open from 9am to 5pm.
Our Livedrive DublinCityFM Radio programme (103.2FM) will also be coming live from our Traffic Control Centre on Easter Sunday, providing live traffic updates from around the Dublin Region, from 8am to 10am, and from 3pm to 5pm on Easter Sunday (Twitter: @livedrive).
It should also be noted that due to the Easter Parade on Sunday, 27th March and the events on Monday, 28th March the following Coca Cola Zero Dublinbikes scheme stations will be closed from Sat 26th through to Tuesday 29th; others may have restricted access.
