Independent Councillor Christy Burke elected Lord Mayor of Dublin

Independent Councillor Christy Burke was elected Lord Mayor of Dublin at the Annual Meeting of Dublin City Council tonight. He was first elected to represent the North Inner City Electoral Area of the City Council in the Local Election in 1985, and has served on the City Council since that time.

Sinn Féin Councillor Larry O’Toole was elected Deputy Lord Mayor. He has represented the Beaumont Donaghmede Local Electoral Area since his election to the City Council in 1999.
